4G+ from Vodafone now three times faster than standard 4G

Speeds of up to 225Mbps now available for the first time in Ireland with Vodafone

Vodafone has become the first mobile operator in Ireland to deliver enhanced 4G+ speeds of up to 225Mbps.

The 4G+ service launched last December with speeds of up to 150Mbps. With this upgrade, Vodafone’s 4G+ service offers speeds up to three times faster than standard 4G.

4G+ is available to customers on RED Extra, RED Super and RED Extra Super bill pay plans, as well as those on Vodafone RED Business and RED Super Business.

Customers can sign up at no extra cost until March 2016.

4G+ is available across Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford. The service is compatible with Cat 4 handsets and a varied range of 4G+ enabled smartphones including; Samsung S5+, Samsung Note Edge, Samsung Alpha, Samsung S6 / S6 Edge, HTC One M9, Sony Xperia, Z3+, Vodafone Smart Ultra, and Huawei R226.
