eircom adds Sky Sports 3, 4 and 5 to eVision sports package

Customers can get into the swing of things as major golf tournaments loom

eircom customers will be able to access a new set of sports channels – Sky Sports 3, 4 and 5 – with eVision services from 03 March; just in time for golf fans to catch all the action from the Masters in early April as well as PGA and European tour events in the summer.

Both new and current existing eVision customers who have subscribed to Sky Sports will be able to benefit from the added channels, with a wider range of sports options now available to all viewers.

Covering all the bases

Sky Sports 4 – the home of live golf on Sky – will feature all of the action from the US Open and US PGA as well as the Masters in Augusta when the greats of the game will go head to head.

All the hits and misses from the European Tour including The Players Championship, BMW PGA Championship and Irish Open will also feature on the channel which will be added to the already bumper list of sports channels available via eVision which includes: Sky Sports 1 and 2, BT Sport 1 and 2, Setanta 1, Setanta Ireland and ESPN.

Sky Sports 5 will bring live European Football to customers, covering everything from the UEFA Champions League and European Championship qualifiers to the Dutch Eredivisie and La Liga.

The new Sky Sports channels will also include the best hits from Guinness Pro 12, Super Rugby and the French Top 14 while Grand Slam tennis tournaments are also on the agenda as eVision customers can watch the US Open and Australian Open as well as the WTA Tour and ATP World Tour.

An extensive sports package

Jon Florsheim, Managing Director for eircom Consumer, said the expansion of their Sky Sports offering provides a “very robust sports package for customers” to enjoy.
