Looking for a new TV deal? Sky is offering a free LG TV to new customers
The offer will run until the 25th of August.
Sky has launched yet another deal for new TV customers - anyone who signs up for a deal with a TV element before 25 August will get a free LG TV.
It’s the latest in a string of offers we’ve seen from Sky throughout the summer. This particular one will really appeal to people moving house and looking for a TV provider - especially since it will save them the hassle and expense of buying a TV, too.
Sky has loads of packages available on a TV-only basis, for example their Original TV bundle, which has 55 channels, on-demand and catch-up TV costs €25 per month on a 12-month contract.
The Variety TV bundle, meanwhile, has all the same features as the Original bundle, but with 103 channels in total. This costs €33.15 per month for 12 months. Both of these packages have a once-off fee of €30 for installation.
If you’re looking for additional features, like fluid viewing, lots of recording space on your TV box and access to boxsets on demand, the Sky Q TV bundle might be for you. This costs €55 per month on an 18-month contract, with a once-off €249 activation fee.
Is bundling better?
If you are moving house or looking at changing your TV provider for some other reason, it might be worth considering bundling some products together to make a saving.
With Sky, you can bundle TV, phone and broadband together with the Original TV plus Fibre Unlimited Broadband and Talk Freetime bundle. This has all of the channels available on the TV only plan, plus 100Mb broadband and free off-peak local and national calls, at a cost of €74.50 per month for 12 months.
Sky is continually coming up with new additions to its offering, which is great for customers as it keeps things fresh. Recently, the company launched Sky Cinema, as well as additions to the Sky Kids app, such as the ability to download content and watch on the move.
Just last week, Sky announced that that Sky TV customers accessing Sky Store can now ‘Buy & Keep’ boxsets. This means that, in Sky Store, customers can now own TV and movie Box Sets three ways – on their TV, on their devices and on DVD.
The way this works is that Sky Store will send a digital HD copy straight to your TV and devices, plus the DVD in the post. All of the Sky favourites are available, as well as some new additions, like Netflix’s House of Cards.
Winter is coming
Although it feels like the summer’s just getting started, it won’t be long before the evenings are darker and we’re curling up in front of the TV more often. So, if you’re not happy with your current TV package, you might want to make the switch before then!
And, don’t forget, if you do want to avail of Sky’s free LG TV offer, you’ll need to sign-up by 25 August.
