Sky Go is being redesigned to make it easier for customers to access their favourite programming and box sets.

Sky has started to roll out the changes which will see an overhaul of the home pages for the web service and the mobile app for android and iOS users.

The on demand TV service featured viewer favourites including Geordie Shore, The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy in 2015, while Modern Family, Take Me Out and The Affair is just some of the programming that is ready to watch this year.

The overhaul of Sky Go represents the largest redesign of its services since it launched in 2011 and plans are in place to launch new features to make the service more intuitive and easier to use later in 2016.

Enhancing Sky Go and boosting content

Navigation options are being updated and the app will include more shows and live TV than previously, with customers able to access, sports, movies and box sets whenever and wherever they are.

Ann-Marie Mackay, Sky Ireland’s Director of Products and Customer Growth described the overhaul as “just the start of a really exciting year for Sky Go”.

She added that the roll out and the new features that are due later in the year are “all part of our commitment to making finding the best TV brilliantly simple”.

Ms Mackay explained that the app has “led the way in watching on the go” which has made it “loved by our customers across Ireland”.

The Sky Go home page changes have already taken place for Android users and on the Sky Go web service, while an iOS update will take place in February.

Sky Go is available at no extra cost to Sky customers, with accessible content dependant on the viewer’s subscription.
