Sky Go is now available on Amazon Fire tablets, giving Sky TV customers another device on which to watch their favourite shows this Christmas.

Sky’s service that allows customers to watch TV on the go will be home to a host of recognisable faces this winter, with up to 70 entertainment channels available live and on demand.

Geordie Shore, Grey’s Anatomy and Cinderella will be among the shows available via Sky Go, which Sky TV customers can access for no extra cost.

Ann-Marie McKay, Director of Products and Customer Growth at Sky said it is brilliant news that Amazon Fire tablets are now compatible with Sky Go.

She said there is something for all Sky TV customers this December, from sport and reality TV to children’s shows and movies, and added that Sky Go will “get even better in 2016” with added content and new updates due.

Steve Rabuchin, Vice President, Amazon Appstore, said that adding Sky Go enables them to provide increased access to entertainment, movies and sports programming.

“We’re focused on adding the highest quality selection to our Appstore, and Sky has one of the strongest content catalogues in the UK,” he explained.

Sky Go includes a set of popular channels including Sky Atlantic, Sky 1 and MTV, as well as children’s programming including Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

Customers with the Sky Movies pack can also access thousands of titles via Sky Go, with access to the biggest blockbusters 12 months ahead of online subscription services.

Sports fans meanwhile can enjoy the William Hill World Darts Championship, watch latest action from the Barclays Premier League, and see the Irish provinces competing in the European Rugby Champions Cup this December on Sky Sports.
