Sky launches limited-time €100 cashback offer for new TV and triple-play customers

The offer applies to TV only, as well as bundles that include a TV element, when customers sign-up online. It expires on 28 July.

Sky has just launched a new limited-time offer, with €100 cashback on a prepaid MasterCard for customers who sign-up for a TV package online by next Thursday, 28 July. This offer also applies to people who sign-up online to bundles which include TV.

Original TV deals

At the moment, Sky’s Original TV Bundle, which includes 55 channels, on-demand and catch-up TV, and a free Sky+ HD box, costs €25 per month on a 12-month contract. This means a total cost of €330 for the year (including a €30 installation fee), but with this new online offer you’ll get the €100 back on a prepaid MasterCard to spend on whatever you like.

If you’re interested in that bundle, but you’d like the option of certain channels in high-definition, you could go for the Sky Original TV Bundle plus HD, which adds in 27 HD channels and costs €35 per month for a 12-month contract.

Bundles of joy

If you’re interested in bundling your TV, broadband and phone plans together, you could make a saving compared to buying them all from different providers.

Currently, Sky Original TV plus Sky Fibre Unlimited Broadband and Talk Freetime costs €74.50 per month for 12 months. With all of the channels available on the TV only plan, plus 100Mb broadband and free off-peak local and national calls, this could represent good value, especially when you consider the €100 cashback offer when you sign up online.

Sky Q - take TV viewing to the next level

If you want to take it up a notch, the Sky Q TV bundle might be for you. This includes:

  • Fluid Viewing, which allows you to watch recordings around your home, pause in one room, and carry on in another.
  • The Sky Q app, with the ability to sync recordings to your tablet to watch anywhere;
  • The option to record 3 shows at once and watch a 4th live; and
  • Up to 150 hours with 1TB storage on the Sky Q box.

There are also hundreds of boxsets, like The Wire, House and Grey’s anatomy, available on-demand for Sky Q customers.

This bundle costs €55 per month on an 18-month contract, with a once-off €249 activation fee. This brings the contract cost to €1239 for 18 months, again with €100 back on a prepaid MasterCard to spend however you please.

You can also choose the Sky Q Silver TV bundle, which has all of the features mentioned above, but with enough recording space for 350 hours of TV content, more than double what is available with the regular Sky Q Bundle. You can also record 4 shows and watch a 5th one live, and Sky has recently announced that Sky Q Silver customers will get Ultra HD content from 13 August at no extra cost.

This bundle costs €67 per month on an 18-month contract, with a €299 once-off activation fee, bringing the total contract cost to €1,505.

So, if you’re looking to make a switch on your TV plan, now could be a good time to do it - the €100 offer ends next Thursday, 28 July.
