Sky makes deal to continue to carry the Discovery channels

This news will be welcomed by Sky customers.

Last week, news broke that Sky would no longer be carrying the Discovery portfolio of channels, which includes Animal Planet, Discovery HD, Discovery History, DMAX, Eurosport1 & 2, Quest and TLC.

The news was met with dismay from Sky TV customers, many of whom said these channels were the ones the watched most from their TV package.

The channels were due to disappear from today, but last night Sky announced that it had struck a deal and would continue to carry this portfolio of channels.

No doubt, this will be welcome news to those customers who are fans of documentaries, sports and Say Yes To The Dress!

Sky TV is currently available from just €19 per month for 12 months, while Sky’s Original TV Bundle + Sky Fibre Unlimited & Talk Freetime triple-play deal is reduced to €49 per month for 12 months, too.
