The popular digital TV and broadband company is teaming up with Disney in a thrilling new partnership which looks set to become very popular with Irish TV viewers.

This is the first time that Disney has entered into a partnership with another TV movie channel anywhere in the world, which sees Sky and Disney build on their existing strong relationship.

Exclusive to Sky Movies customers, movie lovers of all ages can look forward to a host of great Disney entertainment over the coming weeks and months. The channel will also be available via Sky’s on demand service, on the move via Sky Go and Now TV which is expected to be available in Ireland soon.

The launch today will see the TV premiere of Disney’s hugely popular Pixar title Brave, hitting our airwaves.

Sky Movies subscribers will also be able to enjoy a host of classics such as, Bambi and Pinocchio available alongside Pixar favourites such as Finding Nemo, Cars and A Bugs Life.

Other hotly anticipated titles which will be available to viewers later in the year include, OZ the Great and Powerful, Monsters University, Tinker Bell and Wreck-IT Ralph.

There has arguably never been a better time to subscribe to Sky Movies, with Sky running a special promotion that will see new subscribers receive Sky Movies free for the first month after joining online. This offer ends on April 18th.

Commenting on the launch, Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies said: “Sky Movies Disney will be the home of new and classic Disney and Disney/Pixar movies and will offer all new titles at least a year before other TV channels or subscription services. The combination of Disney’s fantastic movies and Sky’s award-winning innovation means that customers will have the chance to enjoy the very best of Disney on their own terms, whether that’s watching on demand, on the move or in 3D.”
