Sky reveals January and February lineups

Whole host of new movies and exclusive programming for Sky TV customers to enjoy

A whole host of new programming will hit Sky channels in January and February as 2014 starts with a real bang.

Sky Movies and Sky Sports have a multitude of new movies and sporting events for subscribers to enjoy as Sky looks to continue its tradition of providing top quality programming.


Season 10 of Grey’s Anatomy returns on Sky Living and Doll and Em also make an appearance as two friends experience the highs and lows of life in Los Angeles.

Fleming and True Detectives come to Sky Atlantic in February, while an explosive new drama from the creators of Spooks airs on Sky 1 called The Smoke.


Sky Movies has exclusive film releases throughout January from Lincoln, the story of the US president who changes the course of history to the latest in the Scary Movie franchise – number five.

Film buffs will also be able to enjoy the premier of Star Trek into Darkness as the crew of Starship Enterprise follows up on their 2009 epic in style.

This time, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as a member of the Starfleet gone rogue, and it’s up to Captain Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty and the rest to do something about it.

Also airing on Sky Movies in February is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece, The Great Gatsby alongside Oblivion, After Earth and Fast and Furious 6.


The start of 2014 is also a great time for sports fans and Sky Sports will certainly not disappoint with Barclays Premier League action galore, as the title race heats up.

Meanwhile, there are the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup to look forward to, as well as Heineken Cup rugby and International cricket throughout January.

February marks the return of Champions League football as well as one of the biggest sporting events on the planet – The NFL Superbowl.

There’s also tennis on Sky Sports from the ATP World Tour events and plenty of Super League action which might be enough to keep even the most ardent of fans entertained.

On Demand

On Demand box sets will also become available throughout January and February, including Arrow and Revolution, as well as Hannibal, Mad Dogs and An Idiot Abroad.
