Sky Sports viewers in Ireland can look forward to a feast of football action, as nine top-flight Barclays Premier League matches will be aired over the Christmas and New Year period.

With so many games in such a short period, the number of points available to be played for means that the season can be won and lost at both the top and bottom of the table.

It all starts on Sunday 22nd December, a Super Sunday offering that sees Southampton at home to Tottenham (1:30pm kick off), with Swansea playing host to Everton to follow, kicking off at 4pm.

Monday Night Football on the 23rd sees the fiercely competitive derby starting between Arsenal and Chelsea from the Emirates at 8pm.

On St Stephens Day, Sky Sports subscribers can enjoy the 12:45 kick off between Hull City and Manchester United, and all the rest of the news as it happens in the Barclays Premier League games on Gillette Soccer Special.

The Saturday schedule on the 28th features the lunchtime game between West Ham and West Brom which kicks off at 12:45, and at tea time Cardiff City take on Sunderland at 5:30.

Another Super Sunday on the 29th sees Arsenal away to Newcastle (kick off 1:30) and then Chelsea v Liverpool at 4pm.

And is if that wasn‘t enough, a full New Year schedule on 1st January mean that Sky Sports viewers in Ireland can see Swansea at home to Manchester City in the lunchtime game at 12:45.
