Sky Sports is set to launch a brand new Sports channel, Sky Sports Mix, which will be available free of charge to all current Sky customers across the UK and Ireland. It’s the first time that customers will be able to watch their favourite sporting events from football, GAA, and Golf as part of a basic Sky subscription.

With the channel launching this summer, viewers can look forward to regular live football from La Liga, MLS, and the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers, as well as some of the Premier League and Football League matches. Sky Sports Mix will also provide coverage of a number of women’s sporting events, such as live women’s golf and rugby.

Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports, expressed the team’s happiness at being able to bring these sporting events to a wider audience:

Sky Sports Mix will bring sport to more people and provide many different ways of enjoying our coverage, from high profile live events and fascinating documentaries to clips of incredible moments. Our aim is to offer sport in a way that can engage, encourage and excite everyone even further.

The launch of Sky Sports Mix will also be available on Catch Up TV and Sky Go, meaning that viewers can catch up on their favourite sporting events on the go.
