Sky Sports will show 16 live Barclays Premier League games between December and the New Year, providing football fans with even more chances to see their teams in action.

The festive fixture list includes live coverage of at least three games every week, featuring 15 teams and a whole host of the Barclay’s Premier League’s best players.

Current champions Manchester City and early pace-setters Chelsea will be in action as will be Liverpool, Arsenal and Louis Van Gaal’s new-look Manchester United.

With the Barclays Premier League season approaching the halfway marker, there’s more action than ever for Sky Sports customers to enjoy.

Several crunch clashes will see Manchester United v Liverpool and Newcastle United v Sunderland battling it out, while Chelsea also face West Ham on Boxing Day in what will surely be a fiery London derby.

Liverpool face Arsenal in the run up to Christmas, while the early season’s surprise package – Ronald Koeman’s Southampton – will host both Manchester United and Chelsea.

“We offer our viewers more of the games that matter from the Barclays Premier League and that continues with a fantastic line-up of fixtures for December and the New Year,” said Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis.

“Viewers can enjoy all the stories from both ends of the table,” he added.

When the new set of live fixtures is completed, every Barclays Premier League team will have featured at least three times, while last season’s top five have played in at least eight live games.

Monday Night Football will feature four games throughout December, with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher joining host Ed Chamberlin.

Saturday Night Football with Dave Jones and Jamie Redknapp will kick off proceedings when Manchester City and Everton clash on December 6th.

Sky Sports customers can bring the curtain down on a packed festive calendar when Stoke City and Manchester United meet on New Year’s Day.

December will also see the conclusion of the UEFA Champions League group stage, the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup and action from some of Europe’s top leagues.

There will also be a further 57 live Barclays Premier League matches live on Sky Sports during the second half of the Barclays Premier League season.

A total of 116 Premier League fixtures will be shown on Sky Sports during the current campaign, while the launch of Sky Sports 5 will see 600 live games across the course of the season.
