Sky to launch dedicated new Disney movie channel

Come the end of March 2013, Sky Movies subscribers will be able to enjoy the brand new Sky Movies Disney channel

Sky has some good news for movie enthusiasts of all ages. Launching on the 28th of March Sky Movies Disney will mark the beginning of a major partnership between Sky and Walt Disney.

This is a brand new channel, which should prove to be very popular when the channel goes live on the 28th of March.

The channel will be available in both standard and high definition, to Sky Movies subscribers. The channel will also be the home of live action, animated classics, Pixar hits, newest Disney tittles and adventures.

This is the first time that Sky has joined forces with another television channel. It is also the first time that viewers in Ireland, will be in a position to watch classics and branded blockbusters from a single dedicated channel for Disney content.

New Disney movies will be available on the channel at least 6 months after their cinema release has ended. Sky Movie Subscribers will have full access to the films for a period of up to 1 year after their launch. Customers can look forward to a whole host of great new Disney films in the later half of 2013 such as, OZ the Great and Powerful, Monsters University, Tinker Bell, Brave and Wreck-IT Ralph to name just a few.

Sky Movies subscribers will also be able to enjoy a wide collection of classic and new movies from Disney via Sky On Demand and on the move with Sky Go. Sky Movies Disney content will also be made available to customers via Now TV, Sky’s official online streaming service.
