Sky TV set to dazzle this spring

Game of Thrones returns alongside a wide range of popular programming

Sky has revealed its lineup for spring 2014 and there is a whole host of new and old programming for Sky viewers in Ireland to enjoy.

Award-winning dramas return, while the digital TV provider also has vast swathes of movies and sporting action hitting the big screen.

Game of Thrones returns as its epic fourth series comes to Sky Atlantic, with the much anticipated Battle of Castle Black set to be one of the main highlights.

Meanwhile, April also sees the return of Mad Men to the screen as Series 7 details the transition of the characters from the 60s into the 70s.

Moone Boy is set to hog the headlines on Sky 1 as Series 2 of the Emmy-award winning show begins in February; as does Series 5 of Modern Family.

The writers of The Thick of It and Peep Show are behind the latest show on Sky Living, with Trying Again focused on a couple trying to move on following her affair.

Sky viewers in Ireland can also enjoy a wide range of films on Sky Movies, with Sky celebrating the one year anniversary of Sky Movies Disney in March.

At the same time, The Devil Wears Prada and Never Been Kissed are just two of the films marking International Women’s Day while there’s plenty of comedy and other content to enjoy.

Spring will also see the return of Formula 1 on Sky Sports while fans of cricket can also watch the One Day series against the West Indies in March.

All of the top teams in the Premier League are also in action; February sees the return of the Champions League while March is kicked off with the Capital One Cup Final.

The collection of On Demand Box Sets will also be updated for the spring, with Sky viewers in Ireland able to enjoy a massive range of top quality programming.

Series 1 of The Following is available in March, while viewers will have access to the first four series of The Walking Dead and all eight series of Criminal Minds, 24 and Bones.

Fans of Elementary, An Idiot Abroad and Ugly Betty will also find these popular shows available On Demand alongside a whole host of other content.
