Sky customers across Ireland can enjoy plenty more of their favourite shows this autumn, as several old faces return while some new stars prepare to lay down the gauntlet.

Sky 1 sees the return of Britain’s favourite idiot as Karl Pilkington sets out to find the meaning of life after turning 40.

If that wasn’t enough, Series 6 of True Blood returns in October, with Governor Truman Burrell declaring open season on the Vampires, meaning things are certain to get bloody.

Hard hitting dramas are all the rage on Sky Atlantic as House of Lies and The Newsroom both return for their second series, with all involved willing to stop at nothing to get deals done.

Movies & Sports

Toy Story of Terror will make a special appearance on Sky Movies in a Halloween-themed short film, with Buzz and Woody going on a road trip before events take a mysterious turn.

Victor Hugo’s 150-year-old tale Les Miserables is also set to hit the screens in October, with the critically acclaimed and academy award-winning title featuring a truly all-star cast.

For the sports fans out there, Sky Sports has unrivalled Barclays Premier League action, as well as every twist and turn in the battle for the F1 title.

But that’s not all as Sky promises coverage of the top sporting events from across the globe throughout September and October, also in HD, on the go with Sky Go and in Sky 3D.

On Demand

Customers who like to watch their favorite TV entertainment on demand are also in for a treat. Popular TV shows such as The Wire are available throughout September, while Series One and Two of Game of Thrones can be seen in October.

Also available on demand in preparation for Halloween is “Family Frights”, a collection of movies for all the family to enjoy.

Alternatively, there’s a collection of Julia Roberts films or a Martial Arts set, all available on demand to get the pulses racing!
