Sky has unveiled the update to its Sky+ offering which is set to make the process of watching and binging on Sky Box Sets even easier.

Provided Sky+ customers are HD subscribers, they can access a set of new features, including the ability to Download All of a series they love in one go.

As part of Sky’s commitment to enhancing its Sky+ service, the move also follows the recent launch of Sky Q – a ‘re-imagining’ of the TV experience.

“We’re introducing even more features that reflect the changing TV habits of our customers,” explained Ann-Marie MacKay, Sky Ireland’s Director of Product and Customer Growth.

She explained that up to 95% of drama is viewed after it is initially shown live, as customers are opting to watch on demand instead.

“We’re committed to giving customers the choice of how they enjoy the shows they love whether that’s live TV or moving from episode to episode in your favourite box set,” she explained.

Exclusive access to the latest Sky shows

Sky Box Sets customers will be able to get exclusive access to The Tunnel: Sabotage and Billions when it first premieres on Sky Atlantic.

More exclusive content will be added throughout the year, while existing shows including The Knick and Alan Partridge Mid-Morning Matters are already available in their entirety.

Other popular Sky Box sets that customers can binge on include The Walking Dead, Scandal and Twin Peaks.

The new features enable Sky+ customers to live up a whole box set to watch with Download All, while they can also move an entire series into their planner.

The Watch Next button will pop up towards the end of Box Set shows too, enabling those that have downloaded a whole series to watch the next episode by pressing the green button.

Other features include New Series, Suggestions and Search, while the recently launched Watchlist orders movies by the date they expire, to ensure customers don’t miss their favourites.

Sky customers with HD subscriptions can access hundreds of titles and boxsets to view at a time that suits them.
