Sky has announced a host of changes to their Electronic Programme Guide which will give Sky Ireland customers more ways than ever to find and record the shows they love.

Sky’s TV guide will be enhanced with a number of new and exciting features, with Smart Series Link and a brand new recommendations engine among the most interesting.

The new recommendations engine works in an intuitive way, providing suggestions regarding both movies and TV shows that Sky customers might like to watch based on recent recordings they have made via their Sky+ planner.

The selections can be drawn from hundreds of both TV and movie channels, giving Sky Ireland customers a vast array of choices.

The Smart Series Link is another feature which looks set to intrigue Sky Ireland customers. It makes a note of the shows which have been set to record on your Sky TV guide and remembers to record those for the future.

As a result, the digital TV provider helps to ensure that customers never miss out on their favourite shows.

Sky Ireland customers who love their sport will also be able to make full use of the new Sports tile, which provides instant access to all sporting events that are currently showing across all sports channels.

Ann-Marie MacKay, Sky Ireland’s director of products, talked of her excitement regarding the new features.

“We know customers love the new Homepage as it puts catch-up, box sets and movies at the heart of their TV viewing.

“That’s why we’re introducing even more features to help discover more TV they really want to watch. Get recommendations for shows we think you’ll enjoy based on your recordings, and never miss a returning season ever again with Smart Series Link.

“It’s all part of our commitment to make Sky+ the ultimate entertainment experience,” she stated.
