Sky welcomes in summer with top May line-up

Sky subscribers enjoy the Mad Men finale and conclusion of the Premier League as part of bumper month

A mammoth line-up of entertainment, movies and sport is available for Sky subscribers this May as the provider welcomes in the summer months.

Penny Dreadful returns for a second season on Sky Atlantic with Cork actress Sarah Greene joining the cast of the horror gothic drama shot exclusively on Irish shores.

The ever-popular Game of Thrones continues through its fifth season while Don Draper brings the curtain down on Mad Men as the final episode airs on May 21.

Viewers of Sky Atlantic will also have access to Golden Globe Award-winning series The Affair, featuring The Wire star Dominic West.

Sport on Sky

Sky Sports customers meanwhile will be able to see every twist and turn as the Premier League reaches its finale with Champions League and relegation spots still to be decided.

Champions Chelsea will feature live alongside Arsenal and both Manchester clubs on every remaining weekend of the season.

Europe’s elite clubs will also battle it out for a place in the Champions League final while action from The Players Championship golf and F1 – including the Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix – will also be aired.

Movies and entertainment on Sky

Sky’s movie rental service Sky Store will feature a number of Oscar winners in May, including Birdman, Foxcatcher and The Theory of Everything: the story of Professor Stephen Hawking.

Sky subscribers with a broadband connected Sky+ box can also access Sky On Demand services featuring thousands of hours of programming including top entertainment like Season 1 of Penny Dreadful and a number of recent blockbusters including Dawn of The Planet of the Apes and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
