The Lego Movie and Frozen top the bill for Sky Movies Christmas premieres

Sky Movies subscribers can enjoy the latest film premieres and revisit classic titles this festive season thanks to a bumper list of titles.

The Lego Movie and Frozen premiere on Christmas Day, providing viewers with two massive box office hits, while Darren Aronofsky’s epic Noah, staring Russell Crowe as the title character, will also be available to viewers.

Muppets Most Wanted is set for a pre-Christmas appearance while everyone’s favourite superhero Captain America returns in The Winter Soldier on Boxing Day and starring Chris Evens and Scarlett Johansson.

Sky Movies subscribers can also watch Toy Story That Time Forget this Christmas, a brand new special with all of the characters from the franchise.

Festive TV for all the family

Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies said the company wants to offer its subscribers “the very best entertainment” while remaining flexible over when and how they can watch it.

“We know family time is especially precious at Christmas and […] we hope customers will enjoy discovering the latest and greatest movies together, as well as revisiting festive classics on Sky Movies Christmas,” he said. In addition to all the latest premieres and new shows, there are also plenty of other fantastic movies gracing the screens this festive season.

Plenty of choice this Christmas

Dedicated channel Sky Movies Christmas is home to a number of old favourites, including Jingle All The Way, Elf and Miracle on 34th Street.

Other festive greats such as Bad Santa and Die Hard will also be available alongside classics such as Home Alone and Sleepless in Seattle. Sky Movies Greats will also have a snowy theme for Christmas; featuring movie hits such as Snow Day, Groundhog Day, 101 Dalmatians, Die Hard 2 and March of the Penguins.

All of these movies can be viewed in real-time via the TV schedule as well as being found On-Demand or via Sky Go. Sky’s On Demand service also features some of the finest trilogies to grace screens – such as Toy Story, Lord of the Rings and The Hangover – to provide festive entertainment for all the family.
