Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the final instalment of the Harry Potter series, can now be enjoyed in high definition on UPC, through its new UTV HD channel.

On New Year’s Day UPC customers will experience the magic and charm of JK Rowling’s characters, such as Harry, Ron and Hermione, as they attempt to triumph against the nasty Lord Voldemort at 8pm.

The UPC Christmas schedule will also include a two-hour seasonal Downton Abbey special. Will Mr Bates be found out, will Lady Mary leave with a new partner, or will a new apron be in Mrs Patmore’s Christmas stocking?

The current UTV channel will be replaced by the new HD channel for UPC Horizon TV customers. For the rest of UPC’s customers the new channel can be found on channel 138.

Christmas is a time for families to enjoy popular soaps and traditional seasonal films, according to UPC’s Content Delivery Manager Shane Loughrey-Grant.

“Whether it’s Emmerdale or Coronation Street, Harry Potter or James Bond’s Quantum of Solace, we’re delighted that this year we can offer top entertainment for the whole family in crystal clear high definition.” he stated.

Since its launch in September this year, UPC Horizon’s TV service has attracted some 30,000 subscriptions so far.
