UPC Basics Collection launched in Ireland
UPC responds to launch of eircom’s eVision TV service with new range of low cost broadband, TV and phone bundles
UPC has responded quickly to eircom’s eVision launch with the introduction of new triple-play and dual-play packages.
The company claims their new Basics Collection offers the best value broadband TV and home phone services that are currently available in Ireland.
The new triple play package has more than 50 digital channels, including Sky One, Sky News, Sky Sports News and channels from both BBC and ITV.
There are also entertainment channels including Sky Living and Sky Arts, as well as Nickelodeon and Nick Toons for the kids.
Currently, many of these channels are not available with eircom’s eVision Essential package, so it’s possible to enjoy a whole host of new programmes.
Common channels including RTE One and Two, 3e, Channel 4 and E4 are also available, while additional sport can also be viewed on Setanta Ireland.
UPC’s new broadband, TV and phone packages also comes with 50Mb fibre power broadband as standard, available with either unlimited or limited versions depending on a user’s needs.
The phone part of the bundle offers unlimited off-peak local and national calls, as well as 400 international minutes.
The cost of the Broadband TV and home phone package when broadband is unlimited is €50 per month for the first 6 months and €60 thereafter.
If customers opt for the limited version where broadband usage is capped at 30Gb, the package works out at €50 per month for 6 months and €53 thereafter.
Meanwhile, the dual-play broadband and phone package features totally unlimited 50Mb broadband and phone services.
There are free local and national off-peak calls, as well as 400 minutes to 21 international destinations, with the package costing €37. UPC has also launched a new TV and Phone package as part of its latest offering.
