October is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month every year and UPC Ireland has teamed up with the Irish Cancer Society to raise awareness.

In a bid to raise funds to help fight the disease, UPC Ireland has promised to donate €1 from every movie purchased from their On Demand ‘Paint It Pink’ collection to the Irish Cancer Society.

As a sign of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UPC Ireland is asking the Irish population to Get the Girls Round and Paint it Pink. Films are available featuring a whole host of Hollywood’s biggest female stars, from Audrey Hepburn to Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Cameron Diaz.

Customers can enjoy the latest releases including Blended, starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, as well as Grace of Monaco – the story of the iconic Grace Kelly.

Classic ‘chick flicks’ are available too, with UPC Ireland customers able to access greats such as Mamma Mia, Bridesmaids and Bridget Jones via the On Demand service.

UPC Ireland also wants to see pictures of movie nights and is encouraging people to tweet @UPCIreland using the hashtag #PinkPics. Further donations to the Irish Cancer Society can be made by texting PINK to 50300, to donate €4 to the cause. You can find out more in UPC’s video below.
