UPC launches 250Mb business broadband service

UPC Business has announced a faster communications plan for businesses by increasing the speed of its fibre power broadband services to 250Mb.

Small and medium-sized businesses can take advantage of the 250Mb broadband service from UPC via the company’s Hybrid Fibre Coaxial network.

It means office spaces can benefit from faster broadband services which can improve the daily running of businesses.

“With UPC’s 250Mb service, Small to Medium Sized Enterprises are guaranteed the most advanced connectivity as businesses of any size are facing a tidal wave of data that needs to get from A to B without delay,” explained Gary Jordan, SME Channel Manager with UPC.

“In today’s business world, time is not a luxury and our superior business offerings are designed to address the specific bandwidth-hungry and time-sensitive needs and requirements of each business client.”

He added that the new package – Business Fibre Power 250 – could potentially reduce costs for businesses, as well as increasing the speed at which work can be completed.

UPC’s new network offers an alternative to those already on the market. This means companies can access the data they need as and when they require it, something which is becoming increasingly important in the modern day business environment.

UPC Business provides business communications services that range from Metro Ethernet, Internet connectivity and broadband services specifically for small and home offices.

Variable speeds are available, at 50Mb, 100Mb, 150Mb and 250Mb, but it is the highest tier that will be of most interest to UPC customers.

UPC Business has already shown its worth by supporting a high speed 200 Mbps service to Dublin Castle for Ireland’s EU Presidency in 2013.

The company already has a strong presence in several major cities, including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, as well as 14 regional towns.

Up to eight telephone lines are included in the Fibre Power 250 plan, while no line rental fees apply.

Meanwhile, smaller businesses can take advantage of UPC triple-play bundles that offer broadband, TV and a phone connection.
