Virgin Media TV customers can now watch UKTV Play on-demand

This adds over 1,000 additional hours of catch-up TV to Virgin Media's On Demand platform.

Late last week, Virgin Media announced that it has added UKTV Play to its catalogue of catch-up services.

UKTV channels include Dave, W, Gold and Alibi, and these are all now available through Virgin Media’s On-Demand platform.

This means Virgin Media’s customers now have over 1,000 extra hours of catch-up TV to watch, including UKTV Originals like Taskmaster and John Bishop: In Conversation.

Speaking about the addition of UKTV to Virgin Media On Demand, Virgin’s Media Ireland’s Vice-President, Paul Farrell, says the company is “pulling out all the stops” for customers.

He added: “As well as having exclusive access to UKTV Original shows, Virgin Media customers will now be able access their favourite classics, such as Only Fools and Horses and The Good Life, as well as hit shows including, Doctor Who and Storage Hunters.”

Richard Williams, General Manager, UKTV Play said the company is continuing to invest in its on-demand services and original programming, and to preview new shows on UKTV Play.

He revealed: “The first of these for Virgin Media Ireland customers will be brand-new UKTV Original series, Eat Your Heart Out With Nick Helm, which will exclusively preview on UKTV Play a week before being shown on Dave.”
