Electric Ireland extends €50 online credit offer

New Electric Ireland customers now have until the 18 May to sign up to the companies electricity-only tariffs if they want to take advantage of its €50 online credit offer.

The special online bonus offer has proved popular with new customers and Electric Ireland have announced a further extension on this deal which was originally set to end at the end of April.

New customers who opt to sign up to any of the energy suppliers residential electricity only price plans online, will be able to benefit from a €50 credit on their electricity bill. Customers can compare and switch to the new tariffs via Switcher.ie or directly on the Electric Ireland website.

The €50 credit back on your bill offer is available with the following Electric Ireland electricity only tariffs:

  • ValueSaver (Direct Debit)
  • ValueSaver (Direct Debit & Online Billing)
  • Green (Direct Debit & Online Billing)

Cheapest Electricity supplier on average As well as benefiting from €50 credit on their bills, customers who sign up online to either Electric Ireland’s ValueSaver (Direct Debit) or ValueSaver (Direct Debit & Online billing) will also be availing of two of the cheapest electricity plans in Ireland.

The table below highlights the cheapest electricity tariffs available based on the national average consumption. According to the Energy Regulator (CER), the average Irish household uses 5,300 kW/h of electricity per year. Prices include PSO Levy & 13.5% VAT.

Terms of offer

It is not available to existing customers and anyone applying must be over the age of 18 at the time of their application.

At the same time, only one application of credit per person is allowed and entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted. Similarly, in instances where online applications are made in a joint name, only one €50 credit will apply.

In order to receive the credit bonus, customer details must be sent to Electric Ireland by 23.59 on 18 May 2014 and any details received after this time will not be eligible. It is also non-refundable in terms of cash or any other alternative rewards.
