eir unveils 24 hour technical support
Broadband and TV help service introduced to enhance customer experience
In a first for Ireland, eir has launched a 24 hour technical support service for broadband and TV to enhance its support services to customers.
eir technical support can now be contacted at any time of the day or night to deal with any queries relating to customer issues.
The move to a 24 hour technical support service signals a change from the previous help offering, which was still available Monday to Sunday but only between 9.00 and 22.00.
After rebranding in September from eircom to eir, the move represents the firm’s latest efforts to improve the customer service on offer.
Enhancing the the customer experince
eir also completed the acquisition of Setanta Sports Channel Ireland Ltd at the start of December for an undisclosed sum.
The deal, that included BT Sports’ Irish rights, means eir customers can access a greater range of sports content, from live Barclays Premier League Action to rugby, UFC and Moto GP.
The company’s latest financial results were also positive, as eir posted revenues of €325 million for the first quarter of its financial year ending 30 September 2015, representing a rise of 4%.
Marking a second consecutive quarter of growth, CEO Richard Moat to said that the growth “provides real momentum” for the year ahead.
