Sky Service App crowned Best Productivity App (Most Useful App)

The Sky Service App has won the Best Productivity App (Most Useful App) at The Appys: an awards ceremony that searches for the best in innovation and design.

The App gives Sky customers more ways to control their Sky account and has been downloaded thousands of times since being launched in August.

Using the Sky Service App, Sky customers can check bills, change their settings and review their Sky package.

This can be done from any location using a wide range of mobile devices, enabling customers to do more work of their personal admin while on the move.

Giving Sky customers control
It means those with busy schedules can use the Sky Service App to access their accounts instantly, providing them with many management options.

An option to pick which Sky+ HD box in a property receives any recorded shows is available while Sky customers can also change their TV PIN form within the Sky Service App.

Remote record requests allow customers to record shows or set up a series link for their favourite shows, all at the touch of a button when using the app.

Customers can still contact Sky advisors if they have any queries while a Frequently Asked Questions section provides solutions to some of the more common issues that customers may face.

Early recognition of success
“It’s great news that the Sky Service App has been recognised at The Appys only three months after it launched,” said Derek Stalley, customer operations director at Sky Ireland.

“The app can be used to help those with busy schedules quickly manage their account but, of course, if a customer would like to speak to one of our team, our dedicated customer service centre in Dublin is always here to help.”

He added that thousands of customers are already regularly using the app – which was commended in the Dublin-based award ceremony – to get access to their Sky account.
