Nominees announced for 5th annual Switcher.ie Awards
This year's event includes mobile categories for the first time.
On Thursday 1 February, the best and brightest of Ireland’s telecoms industry will flock to The Marker Hotel for this year’s annual Switcher.ie awards.
These are the only awards in Ireland where Irish telecoms customers get to have their say on the services from their own providers - and this year, Switcher.ie is including mobile categories, as well as broadband and TV, for the first time.
And the nominees are…
Using a combination of independent consumer research, speed tests and ratings collected on Switcher.ie, and scores from an independent panel of expert judges, the nominees across 22 categories have now been decided.
On the night of the event, the coveted Best Broadband Provider and Best Mobile Operator awards will recognise the broadband and mobile providers in Ireland that have achieved the highest overall customer ratings across all categories.
Helping you to choose the best broadband and mobile plans
On top of this, because the Switcher.ie Awards use actual customer feedback to determine the winners across many categories, they highlight what people like you think of their provider’s performance across areas like technical support, customer service and TV content.
This means that - along with price, broadband speed, data allowance, TV channels etc. - the results from the awards can help to give you a steer in terms of what kind of experience you can expect from particular providers.
Giving customers a well-rounded view
Switcher.ie’s Managing Director, Eoin Clarke, said the Awards are part of Switcher.ie’s
“ongoing commitment to help consumers navigate this busy market, find the best plans, and save money.”
He added: “As the only awards of their kind in Ireland that give customers a real voice, it’s great that they are growing. The introduction this year of new mobile categories in the awards for the first time will add an important element to the event, and will help to give customers a well-rounded view of the whole telecoms market.”
