Mortgage Regulatory Status

Switcher Limited (C402187) is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as a Mortgage Credit Intermediary under the European Union (Consumer Mortgage Credit Agreements) Regulations 2016 and as a Mortgage Intermediary under the Consumer Credit Act 1995. A copy of our statement of Authorised Status from the Central Bank of Ireland is available on request. Alternatively, the Central Bank of Ireland holds registers of regulated firms which can be viewed on their website www.centralbank.ie.

Statutory Codes for Mortgage Services

Switcher Limited is subject to and complies with the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity Standards. These Codes offer protection to consumers and can be found on the Central Bank of Ireland website www.centralbank.ie.

Our Mortgage Services

Switcher Limited offers an online comparison service in relation to mortgage and credit services available in the Irish Market. We also enable consumer referrals to a regulated Mortgage Broker for the provision of Mortgage Advice.

Switcher Limited, whilst regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, is not a broker for regulated Insurance products or services. We do not provide advice to consumers. By using our service, you determine the most suitable options for you and consent to be contacted by our referral partners.

We do not have any Tied relationships with any financial institution. We do not guarantee nor make representations in regard to, and expressly disclaim responsibility for the financial security of the Financial Services Institutions and Providers referenced on our website.

Mortgage fees and charges

We do not charge a fee to consumers for the Mortgage services provided via our website.

We may receive a referral fee from a supplier when you click through to their website or purchase services from them.

Conflicts of interest

It is the policy of our firm to avoid conflicts of interest in providing Mortgage services to you. However, where an unavoidable conflict of interest arises, we will advise you of this before providing you with any service.


We aim to provide an excellent standard of service, however, if you feel we may have not achieved this please let us know. We take all complaints seriously and use our best efforts to resolve these as quickly as possible.

We ask that you make any complaint relating to services provided by Switcher Limited preferably in writing however, verbal complaints are accepted. If you are dissatisfied with the service you receive from us, please contact complaints@switcher.ie.

Our written complaints procedure:

  1. A formal review and investigation will start 5 working days from receipt of your complaint.
  2. A written update will be issued to you every 20 days by a nominated individual within our firm.
  3. A comprehensive response to your complaint will be issued within 8 weeks of receipt of your initial complaint.
  4. For complaints relating to our Mortgage services you are entitled to refer the matter to the Office of the Financial Services & Pensions Ombudsman: T: 01-5677000 or E: info@fspo.ie.

If your complaint is regarding a supplier from which you have obtained a service and with which we put you in touch, then you should address your complaint directly to that supplier.
