According to the CRU, the average electricity customer uses 4,200 kW/h per year, while the average gas customer uses 11,000 kW/h per year.

In March 2022, Energia announced that it was to increase its prices, effective 25 April.
Energia’s last price change took place in October 2021, where this seen an increase of 15.7% and 18.5% to their standard electricity and gas rates, respectively. This increase added approximately €410 per annum to the average residential dual fuel bill.
Prior to this, Energia increased their prices in June 2021 with a price hike of 9.7% to their standard electricity and gas rates. This increase added approximately €214 per annum to the average residential dual fuel bill.
In February 2021, Energia announced an increase of 8.6% and 5.7% to their standard electricity and gas rates, respectively. This increase added approximately €150 per annum to the average residential dual fuel bill, effective March 2021.
In June 2021, Energia announced a decrease in both gas and electricity tariffs. This price change seen gas and electricity rates reduce by 12% and 3%, respectively.
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) requires that electricity suppliers disclose the sources they use to generate their energy each year.
Energia has been recognised by the CRU for having 100% renewably-sourced “green” energy for the last seven years in a row and is the only one of the larger energy suppliers to achieve this.
