Panda Power sells green electricity, which is generated from renewable resources such as solar, wind and wave energy.

Panda Power launched electricity tariffs in the Irish market in 2015. In February 2018, Panda Power launched dual fuel and gas tariffs and now has around 65,000 energy customers in Ireland.

Panda Power’s parent company is Panda, which is Ireland’s largest recycling company. It is also part of the Beauparc Utility Group.

Panda Power price changes

In March 2021, Panda Power announced that it was to increase its electricity prices by 7.5%, effective 8 April. This will mean an average increase of around €84 per annum for residential electricity customers.

Prior to this, Panda Power increased its electricity standard unit rate by 5.9% and their gas standard unit rate by 5% in November 2018.

How does Panda Power generate electricity?

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) requires that electricity suppliers disclose the sources they use to generate their energy each year.

All of the electricity that Panda Power supplies to its customers comes with a guarantee of origin certificate for energy from renewable sources.
