Aer Credit Card

Linked to Aer Lingus and designed for the seasoned explorer, the Aer credit card is ideal if you love to travel abroad.

You can enjoy a bunch of travel perks worth €267 for just €6.50 a month, including:

Affinity Credit Card

If you want to support your college then the Bank of Ireland range of affinity credit cards could be for you. These cards are affiliated with selected colleges across Ireland, including:

  • Trinity College Dublin
  • University College Dublin
  • University College Cork
  • University of Limerick
  • NUI Galway
  • NUI Maynooth

You can nominate the college you want to support, and Bank of Ireland will make a donation when you sign up, and each subsequent year (while the card’s active) to your University’s alumni fund.

You’ll also get a smart looking card branded with your chosen college.

There’s no annual fee in addition to the annual Government Stamp Duty levy and you’ll get all the benefits you’d expect, for example:

Classic Credit Card

The classic card is suitable for everyday spending with no transaction fees or annual fee (except for the annual Government Stamp Duty of €30).

Better still, you’ll get 0% on purchases for six months or 0% on balance transfers for seven months when you sign up.

This card comes with an instalment plan option that lets you spread the cost of larger purchases of €250+ over 6, 12 or 24 set monthly payments, at a much lower interest rate. It’s easy to apply online for this option or call to set it up.

Platinum Advantage Credit Card

This is Bank of Ireland’s lowest interest rate card and is only available for existing customers. It’s a premium credit card that’s subject to a higher salary requirement.

You’ll be rewarded with 0% on purchases for six months or 0% on balance transfers for seven months with this card, and can also benefit from the instalment plan option.

For a small annual fee, here are some of the extras you can take advantage of:

Student Credit Card

This lets you borrow funds while you’re studying, capped at €500 in your first two years and €1,000 in year three and beyond.

You won’t pay any interest on purchases for the first six months and there’s no account fee.
