Will I be credit checked by Sky Mobile?

If you buy a new phone from Sky and want to spread the cost over 24 or 36 months, all phone sales on 0% credit service agreements are subject to credit checks. Sky Mobile will need to check your credit file before approving your application for a phone contract.

Your credit record will not be checked if you sign up for a SIM-only plan.

How do I unlock my mobile phone?

If you didn’t buy your phone from Sky Mobile, you may need to unlock it.

To unlock your phone:

  • note your mobile number and the phone make and model
  • dial *#06# to get your IMEI number
  • call your current provider with the details
  • go to your Sky account and activate your SIM
  • once your phone is unlocked pop your new Sky SIM in
