There are even more channels being added to Virgin Media TV
This follows an expansion of their partnership with UKTV
Just this morning, Virgin TV and UKTV announced an expansion of their partnership, which means Virgin Media customers will get two new channels - UKTV’s Drama and Really. Drama will be available on channel 164, with Really on 165.
What shows are available on these new channels?
Drama is one of the UK’s most-watched channels (outside of Public Service Broadcasting channels) and the name says it all, with the channel delivering quality drama, from period dramas like Pride and Prejudice and Father Brown right up to contemporary shows like The Heart Guy and The Brokenwood Mysteries.
Meanwhile, Really is a leading ‘real life’ channel, broadcasting the likes of documentaries, real life crime stories, lifestyle shows and premier paranormal shows.
Some of the channel’s most popular exclusive series include Cops UK: Bodycam Squad and Helicopter ER, with popular shows like Antiques Road Trip and Homes Under the Hammer also on offer.
There are also a couple of new UKTV Originals on the way, including Fantasy Homes by the Sea, which starts in late-November, and Sarah Beeny’s Renovate Don’t Relocate, which is set to air in the new year.
“Virgin Media Ireland customers will have access to brilliantly entertaining shows”
Commenting on the new additions, Virgin Media’s Vice President, Paul Farrell, said: “We’re delighted to be building on our leadership by giving our customers more UKTV shows with the arrival of UKTV’s Drama and Really channels. Our goal has always been to offer our customers more choices and the ability to access all the programming they desire when and where they want it.”
On top of this, UKTV’s Chief Commercial Officer, Simon Michaelides, said: “Launching new channels on Virgin Media Ireland is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the UK and The Republic of Ireland with the best TV. I’m really pleased that Virgin Media Ireland customers will now have access to all the brilliantly entertaining shows on offer on Drama and Really.”
