Airtricity today announced a new partnership with Appelgreen, one of Ireland’s largest independent fuel retailers.

The partnership will see the development of a new innovative rewards scheme which will enable customers to save money on their energy bills.

The rewards scheme will allow customers to collect one Applegreen Reward point per litre of fuel or 4 points for every Euro spent on certain products in store.

For a limited time, 1,000 Applegreen Reward points will give customers €10 off their next Airtricity bill.

The customer can redeem the points online as credits against their bill from gas and electricity supplier Airtricity.

Commenting on the launch of the new ‘Bill Saver’ rewards scheme, Annabel Tonge, Airtricity Head of Marketing said, “At Airtricity, we’re always looking for creative ways to do more for our customers. Our ‘Bill Saver’ promotion with Applegreen Rewards aims to make living more affordable for our customers as they will be able to convert their Applegreen points into money off their Airtricity bill.

“As innovative companies, Airtricity and Applegreen have both encouraged new thinking in their industries to give their customers better value and experiences. The launch of this partnership is another exciting opportunity for both brands and we look forward to working with Applegreen over the months ahead.”

Equally enthusiastic about the partnership and the timing of the new deal, Joe Barrett, Applegreen’s Chief Operations Officer said, “We are delighted to engage with Airtricity to  launch a new ‘Bill Saver’ initiative for our Applegreen Reward customers and Airtricity bill pay customers.

“We are continually looking for ways to improve and evolve our current Rewards offering to our customers and this is a great initiative to launch right before the Christmas period.”
