Pure Telecom celebrates 15 years in business, with turnover up 17% last year
The company reached €20 million in revenue in 2016.
Earlier this week, Pure Telecom announced that it reached €20 million in revenue in 2016, up 17% from the previous year.
The company is celebrating 15 years in business - having launched in 2002 - and 2016 was its best financial year ever, as well as its best-ever year for revenue growth.
Pure Telecom’s customer base grew 25% in 2016, too - reaching 42,500 customers.
The company aims to reach 100,000 customers by year-end 2019, and expects that this growth will help it to double its revenues to €40 million in the next three years.
Pure Telecom cites a return to popularity of fixed-line telecommunications (due to significant increases in broadband speeds), as well as the increased rollout of high-speed broadband to rural Ireland as factors in helping its growth.
Commenting on the announcement, the CEO of Pure Telecom, Paul Connell, said that the company’s focus on quality customer service - and competitive pricing - has led to a very low attrition rate of customers.
He added that Pure Telecom is seeing a continued increase in consumer and business connectivity needs, driven by online applications, content, as well as on-demand news and entertainment
He said that the company’s goal is to “continue to achieve sustainable profitable growth, based on a culture that responds quickly to the evolving needs of our customers and changes in our market.”
