Virgin Media saves the day in new advertising campaign
Richard Branson comes to the rescue of Frank in the €2 million television and online campaign
Virgin Media has launched the latest stage of their nationwide advertising campaign, this time featuring founder Richard Branson as a saviour in the form of a hologram.
In the advertisement, Branson comes to the aid of Frank, the babysitting uncle desperate to find a way to entrain his three young nieces. The hologram of the founder introduces Frank to the Virgin Media Box, and its new 360 Mb broadband, letting Frank keep the three young girls entertained for hours.
Meadhbh Quinn, Head of Marketing with Virgin Media highlighted the adverts aim of bringing Branson to the heart of Virgin Media’s advertising:
“Virgin Media is putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. The new ad campaign with Richard gets that across very nicely and we had great fun filming it.”
The campaign will run across TV, press, radio, outdoor, digital and direct mail, and was created by Irish International with media buying by OMD.
