You’ll also need to consider whether you’re happy with unlimited calls to Irish landlines and mobiles, or you also want unlimited minutes to certain international destinations.
Meanwhile, with the TV element, you’ll need to decide between Virgin Media’s Big TV or Bigger TV, with the main difference being the number of channels available.
What channels do you get with Virgin Media?
The Big TV pack comes with 66 channels (including 20 in HD). All of the BBC, RTÉ Channel 4, and the Virgin Media channels are included in this bundle, as well as Sky 1 & 2 and Sky Living.

Virgin Media TV offers much of the same features as eir, Sky and Vodafone, however, the Virgin Media TV box allows you to record more shows at once - while still watching TV - than the eir and Vodafone boxes.
Virgin Media doesn’t offer standalone TV packages. However, if you are interested in a bundle, Virgin Media has some of the fastest broadband speeds out there.
Virgin TV 360 comes with a super-powerful Voice Control remote, allowing you to speedily find what you want to watch. You can also access built in apps, such as Netflix directly through the Virgin TV 360 box, if you’re a fan of the streaming service.
What about Virgin Media broadband and phone deals?
Not convinced you need TV? Many of us are actually now opting for standalone broadband deals, or broadband and phone plans, and then subscribing to a streaming service for content. If this sounds like you, luckily Virgin Media does offer broadband and phone deals that could work for you.
