What channels can you watch on eir TV?

Catch original TV shows, on-demand TV and movies in 4K HDR on the eir TV app, and immerse yourself in Dolby Digital Plus sound and vision with the eir TV 4K box.

You’ll also get built-in Google assist, cutting-edge Android technology and free Amazon Prime on up to three devices.

The channels you can watch will depend on the package you choose. Here’s a taster of the channels you’ll get with each package:

  • eir TV: The basic TV package comes with over 50 channels, including all of the BBC channels, RTÉ and Channel 4. You’ll also get the chance to watch international news channels like CNN, AlJazeera & Bloomberg, music channels like MTV and entertainment channels like Comedy Central, Irish TV, Dave, Quest, QVC and FX.

Your Android TV box

Your eir TV box will give you the ultimate cinematic experience, with shows like Reacher S3 and The Rig, Season 2 in stunning Ultra High Definition picture quality and immersive Dolby Digital Plus sound.

It allows you to record up to 500 programmes at one time, and with 7-day catch up you don’t need to miss a thing. Simply restart, replay and record on selected channels for 7 days.

How to switch to eir

Switching to eir is quick and easy. All you need to do is pick a plan and provide a few details, including your contact information and current provider. To discuss your options call eir on 01 568 0971.

What happens next?

  1. We’ll email you confirming the details of your order
  2. You’ll receive a phone call from eir
  3. They’ll confirm you are in a service area for your chosen plan and complete your order
  4. If you change your mind, you can cancel your switch within 14 days

Can I get Netflix on eir TV?

Yes, you can get access to other apps like Netflix, Now TV and YouTube, but you will have to sign up and pay for those subscriptions separately.

How do I get Amazon Prime Video with eir?

If you’re new to eir’s broadband & TV you’ll get access to Amazon Prime Video by registering via www.my.eir.ie. If it’s your first time signing in to ‘myeir’ you’ll need your account number and landline or broadband reference number.

Existing customers need to log in to their account at www.my.eir.ie to activate their Amazon Prime Video membership.

What happens to my eir broadband or eir TV if I move home?

All you need to do is complete a Moving House form and the Home Move team will get in contact with you.

How do I cancel my eir contract?

If you want to switch provider or cancel any of your services with eir you can either call free on 1901 or write to eir Customer Value Management, eir Building, Mount Agnes Road, Churchfield, Co. Cork.

It may help to have your UAN and landline number ready when you call or write. If you are within the minimum term for your contract you may have to pay an early termination charge.
