eircom launch new on demand TV service

Over 600 Hollywood blockbusters available to eVision customers

eircom has announced the launch of a brand new service, eVision on Demand, that will allow their eVision customers the opportunity to rent a range of films.

eVision customers will be able to access over 600 titles in three different ways:

  • Through their eVision box
  • Through their laptop
  • On tablets & smartphones

The films will cover brand new Hollywood releases as well as family favourites and a host of classics that have stood the test of time.

The latest releases will cost a total of €3.99 to rent, while library classics will be available for just €1.99.

Hugely popular titles such as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit are among the exciting titles that customers can enjoy.

Customers can also take advantage of the ‘Films Everywhere’ service, which allows you to watch a film as many times as you want within a 48-hour rental period.

Kevin White, Managing Director, eircom consumer, was particularly enthusiastic about what the announcement would mean.

“The launch of eVision on Demand is an evolution of our already hugely popular eVision TV service. This is a distinct proposition that allows customers to watch the latest Hollywood releases at home, on any mobile device while you’re out and about or even on holidays through a wide range of devices or even through their eVision box,” said White.

Jack Reynor, the Irish actor who has been making a name for himself in Hollywood lately, also gave his backing to the campaign.

“Irish people love their movies and this new service from eVision will allow them to watch all of the latest and greatest blockbusters straight out of the cinema wherever they want,” he suggested.

This news comes on top of the latest announcement that eircom’s eFibre network is now available to over 1 million premises in Ireland, with the roll-out continuing at a steady pace.
