New Sky+ features make binge watching even easier
Customers can now enjoy Auto Play and Catch Up Series Link.
It seems that Sky has a new offer or feature every week, and this week is no exception.
Auto Play, Catch Up Series Link and increased accessibility
The latest news is that Sky has introduced Auto Play and Catch Up Series Link for Sky+ customers, as well as some new accessibility features. But what do these features actually do?
Well, Auto Play is a binge watcher’s dream, as it makes it really easy to watch one episode after another. Basically, when you get to the end of an episode, the next one will automatically start to play provided it’s already downloaded to your Planner.
You can also press the green button at any point during an episode to watch the next episode immediately.
Meanwhile, Catch Up Series Link allows you to set a series link on a Catch Up TV programme, simply by going to the Catch Up TV section or a Catch Up show that’s been downloaded to the Planner and pressing the green button to ‘Series Link’.
This will then record future episodes of the show so you’ll never miss your favourite programme again.
In addition to these new features, you can now increase the font size on the Homepage and Services Homepage, through the new ‘Increase Homepage Font Size’ setting. This is done by selecting the Accessibility tile after pressing the Services button and choosing the ‘LARGE’ option.
The new features follow other updates to Sky+ this year, including Download Next, which automatically downloads the next episode in a series, and the introduction of the Continue Watching tab in the Planner, so customers can easily pick up where they left off.
Great TV content on Sky
Sky’s TV offering is widely considered to be best in class, and customers can enjoy the Auto Play feature on box sets like Billions, The Blacklist and Grey’s Anatomy, as well as catching-up on shows like Modern Family and Ray Donovan using the Catch Up Series Link feature.
Customers can also look forward to a great line up of brand new TV this autumn, including HBO’s new offering Westworld, Sky original The Young Pope, starring Jude Law, and comedy Divorce, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker.
Another recent HBO addition - The Night Of - has already been downloaded and streamed more than 5 million times across Sky platforms in the UK & Ireland, so the new shows are sure to be really popular with viewers, too.
Sky’s Original TV bundle, with boxsets and HD is reduced to €25 per month for customers signing up by 10 November, which represents a saving of €234 per year.
There are also loads of other TV packages available from Sky - including Sky Cinema and Sky Sports add-ons. So if you don’t currently have Sky TV but would like to get it, you’re sure to find something that suits you.
