Sky VIP is here, with rewards for loyal Sky customers
There are four different levels to the loyalty programme.
A common complaint from customers of telecoms companies is that loyal customers don’t get the access to special offers, unlike new customers who normally get the best discounts.
Sky VIP is here
Well, Sky is looking to change that, with its new tenure-based loyalty programme, Sky VIP.
The programme offers loyal Sky customers benefits like Sky Store Buy&Keep movies, early access to content, and special offers on Sky Q, depending on how long they’ve been with Sky. The programme is divided into four different parts, as follows:
Sky VIP Silver - customers of 0-3 years
Customer who have been with Sky for less than 3 years will get a free welcome gift of a Sky Store Buy&Keep movie, as well as exclusive prize draws and free VIP tickets to things like sports fixtures and cinema previews.
Sky VIP Gold - customers of 3-8 years
These customers will get access to the same benefits as Silver customers, as well as FREE Sky Go Extra, which allows you to download your favourite Sky shows to watch when and where you want.
On top of this, customers who are all about the content are in luck, because they’ll be able to access Sky Atlantic VIP, which will allow them to watch some of Sky Atlantic’s new shows 24 hours before anyone else.
Sky VIP Platinum - customers of 8-15 years
On top of everything available with the Silver and Gold programmes, from September, customers who have been with Sky for between 8 and 15 years will get special offers on Sky Q, too.
Sky VIP Black - customers of 15 years or more
Anyone who has been with Sky for more than 15 years will get the benefits of the Silver, Gold and Platinum programmes, as well as:
Free Sky Q set-up; Free Home Move, so customers can move their Sky at no extra cost if they move home; and Priority customer service, with a dedicated phone number, so they can avoid queuing on the phone and speak to a special Sky VIP advisor.
How do I sign up to Sky VIP?
It’s really easy to get access to the Sky VIP benefits. All you need to do is download the My Sky app - if you haven’t already - and sign up using your Sky account number.
You’ll be able to see on the app which tier you fall in to, and how to access the various benefits.
Sky’s way of saying thank you
Talking about the programme, Sky Ireland’s Managing Director, JD Buckley, said it was Sky’s way of saying thank you to customers for their continued loyalty.
He said: “Whether they’ve recently signed up to Sky or whether they’ve been with us for over fifteen years, our rewards system recognises everyone.”
And it seems this is just the beginning, as he added that Sky plans on rolling out “bigger and better prizes as the programme develops in the coming months”.
