Sky have added E4 and Film4 to its portfolio of channels available on its mobile TV service, Sky Go, a move which will be sure to help increase the appeal of the platform.

Users in Ireland will now be able to choose from 49 channels while on the move, and these channels include the likes of Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, and all the company’s dedicated sports channels.

Additionally Sky Go users will also have access to Fox, SyFy, and the Disney Channel while On-demand content and catch-up services can also be enjoyed by customers.

All Channel 4 related channels are now available on Sky Go, as Channel 4 and More4 had been previously added earlier this year.

Popular series from Channel 4, such as ‘Black Books’, ‘Misfits’, and ‘Peep Show’, can now be seen by Sky users on their mobile devices.

Sky Go is one of the company’s most popular apps with Irish audiences, with over 400,000 downloads of the app to date.

By using Sky Go users are able to access TV channels on the move by way of their main subscription. Users are able to watch online content on laptops, while tablet and mobile users require an app to view content.

By upgrading to Sky Go Extra, customers are able to view content on four devices rather than just two. This service is available for a monthly subscription fee of just €6.

As well as providing access to live TV, Sky Go also hosts a range of on-demand content and catch-up services.

Customers with a Sky Movies pack subscription have access to up to 600 films at any one time, which they can watch at their convenience.
