Switcher.ie Broadband Awards 2017: Sky named Best Broadband Provider for second time
Sky took home five awards in total on the night, with Virgin Media and Vodafone scooping three each.
The fourth annual Switcher.ie Broadband Awards took place in The Marker hotel in Dublin last night.
The awards are designed to recognise the broadband industry’s shining stars, and last night Sky was crowned Ireland’s Best Broadband Provider for the second year in a row.
A full list of the categories and winners in all categories - which include Best Customer Service, Best Technical Support and Best Customer Rated Broadband - is available on our dedicated broadband awards webpage.
Helping you to navigate the broadband market
Switcher.ie hosts these awards each year, to highlight the best broadband providers and products in the Irish market.
The focus of these awards is, and always has been, on real customers’ experiences with their broadband and TV providers, which is why winners in nine of the 11 categories are decided using independent consumer research and over 30,000 customer ratings.
The broadband and TV market is a competitive one, so - along with Switcher.ie’s broadband deal checker - the results of these awards can really help to show consumers areas of strength for different providers.
Making better-informed decisions
Eoin Clarke, Managing Director of Switcher.ie said that the Broadband Awards are about recognising the great things providers do, while also helping consumers to choose the company and service that’s right for them.
He added: “By highlighting the best broadband providers and products at this annual event, we hope to equip broadband users with an important, independent classification.”
Mr. Clarke also extended his congratulations to all providers who took home awards, saying: “A huge congratulations goes out to all the winners from this year’s awards, with a special mention to Sky, for being named Ireland’s Best Broadband Provider for the second year running.”
